Vývojovému oddělení BMW se spolu s několika partnery podařilo vyvinout nový motor spalující vodík s účinností 42 procent. To je stejná hodnota, jako u nejlepších současných turbodieselů. Vodík tak nevzdává svůj boj o palivo budoucnosti.
