Robert Bosch has been present in the Czech Republic since the end of the 19th century, when it also traded with Laurin & Klement. The first official Bosch branch was established in 1920 in Prague and returned after a forced 44-year hiatus in 1989. Since December 1991 it has been active again.

In Prague there is also a subsidiary company BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, which deals with household appliances - BSH home appliances s.r.o.
Bosch production plants are located in Jihlava - Bosch Powertrain s.r.o., in České Budějovice - Robert Bosch, spol. s r.o., in Brno - Bosch Rexroth s.r.o. and in Krnov - Bosch Termotechnika s.r.o.
